Twitter Launches “Who To Follow” Feature

Twitter TwitterTwitterhas just launched a new feature called “Who to Follow” in which they suggest personalized lists of people you might be interested in following. The list is figured via an algorithm written by the Twitter “user relevance” team. Here is what Twitter had to say about the algorithm:

Twitter Adds Name Results to Twitter Search

Twitter’sTwitterTwitter web interface search has always been strong, and stronger than you thought it was. It included almost every Google-like search trick, and it explained why topics are trending.

Most recently, sponsored trends were introduced, as well as sponsored tweets. Those didn’t really bother much.

PIC: Fail Whale Visits Facebook!

This is just a cute little piece. Twitter announced a few days ago that they were launching a feature on their Facebook app (launched in 2007) that allows you to easily find your FacebookFacebookFacebook friends on TwitterTwitterTwitter and follow them. After going to Facebook and directing myself to the Twitter application, I was surprised to see a familiar sight on a very unfamiliar background! It was the Fail Whale! Turns out Twitter was over capacity, and the Fail Whale came to visit Facebook. How nice! Here’s a pic:
