FoursquareFoursquare have just announced that they have created a “hometown” option in your profile that you can edit through your settings.

At first glance, this seems pretty trivial, but at closer look into their blog post, it becomes very clear that this has major ramifications in as far as location privacy is concerned.

Update: Oh… It’s no fluke… Somebody published how to get it…

Update: It turns out you need to unlock a specific 6 badges to get the groupie badge, and then go to a website and enter them in. However, this doesn’t explain the onslaught of Groupie Badges since lots of the people being awarded them don’t have those 6 badges.

You know, I hear so many people trying to figure out how to get certain badges on FoursquareFoursquare, and looking for a list of all of the badges on Foursquare. So after much much research, I actually found an awesome list with a pretty up-to-date full list of Foursquare badges! Check it out below! An earlier version had a PDF from ScribdScribd – but I found the original source was none other than Tony Felice’s blog – it was in English, and it was in HTML format! Thanks, TonyTony reviews! For the record – I wasn’t sure if publishing this was a good idea – or if it would ruin the guessing game of Foursquare. But after crowdsourcing to see if it was worth it – I got a resounding “yes!”
