Happy 5th Birthday, Mashable!

5 years ago today, Pete Cashmore opened a WordPressWordPressWordPress account and started blogging. He wrote about interesting, intriguing, newsworthy developments in a still very very new social media world. So new, in fact, that one of his first articles was about whether or not GoogleGoogleGoogle will become a web storage application. The word ‘cloud’ didn’t exist yet.

Mashable Release New iPhone App!

MashableMashableMashable have had an iPhone app for a while now, but today, they’ve announced a completely new app!

The old app, which was pretty clunky and showed some non-mobile web pages. So it’s no surprise that Pete Cashmore and the Mashable team were keen on introducing a newer app.

Last night, rumors were flying around regarding the possibility of MashableMashableMashablebeing bought out by ex-media-giant-now-content-enthusiasts AOL!
